CEDAW Officially Extended to the Cayman Islands

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) has been officially extended to the Cayman Islands.

Minister of Gender Affairs, Hon. Tara Rivers was on hand at the United Nations in New York City when Chief of the UN Treaty Section, Mr. Santiago Villalpando, accepted the instrument from United Kingdom Minister for Women and Equalities, Caroline Dinenage on Wednesday, 16th March 2016. The UK’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Peter Wilson CMG, was also present to witness the occasion.
